Hey guys, If you are looking for Rooting your Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos(Gt-I9082)(4.1.2/4.2.2) you are at the right place.
There are some proved ways to successfully root your grand. If you were unable to root your grand before follow these method.
Note
- You will lose your warranty. However you can unroot your grand successfully for making your device official and validate your warranty.
- There are always some risk associating with (and while) rooting.
- I am not held responsible if something goes wrong and you brick your device.
- I have tried these steps personally.
- Provided files are not made by me. All credit goes to their developers.
- This method provided is only for GT-I9082. Trying these steps on other models are not at all recommended.
- Works for both 4.1.2 and 4.2.2. Download the appropriate files.
Things you need
PASSWORD FOR RAR EXTRACTION - galaxygrandmods.blogspot.com
Skip ads for two times and you will be redirected to google drive.
- ODIN v3.09 - Download.
- Recovery file - (Download for 4.1.2)/(Download for 4.2.2).
- UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.51.zip - Download.
- Samsung ADB driver on pc - Download
Things must to do before
- Backup all your data before starting, If any.
- Your device must be charged above 80%.
- USB Debugging must be enabled.(Settings>Developer options>USB Debugging)
- Download and install every provided software.
Lets start!!
- Download and install Samsung USB driver from the provided link (Necessary).
- Extract every files downloaded from the above links to a new folder to avoid confusion. Password for extraction is provided above.
- Copy UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.51.zip to the Internal memory.
- Once everything setup, Run Odin3 v3.09 as administrator.
- Now, Boot your device into download mode by pressing Volume down+Menu+Power and wait for 5 second for the device to boot in download mode.
- After the device is booted up in download mode connect it to your pc via USB cable and your PC would detect it automatically if you correctly followed step 1
- Odin will show you green colored icon which indicates that you are connected successfully.
- Click on PDA/AP and select the recovery file from the folder you have created.
- Auto reboot and F. Reset Time should be ticked.
- Now, click on start button. It will take some seconds to complete. Don't remove your USB cable till Odin shows 'pass' and you device will restart automatically.
- Okay, Now those major steps are over. Now boot your device into recovery mode by pressing volume up+Menu+Power and wait till it boot.
- After booting in recovery mode click on 'Install Zip' and select the 'UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.51.zip' file and install it.
- After installation remove your battery and boot your device normally.
- Congo!!.. you are now rooted your GT-I9082.
